July 3 -5 | West of 50 Retreat  West of 50 (50+ with exceptions): This “Mini-Camp” Retreat will allow those who would like to come, praise, fellowship, and participate in group activities. July 7 – 9 |  Family Retreat  Family Camp (All ages: Guardians Required): This “Mini-Camp” allows families to meet other families, have a family vacation in an accessible setting and to become familiar with overnight camping. July 11 – 13 | Young Adult Retreat  Calling our retired campers! Yes! We have a “Mini-camp” for all our campers who have since aged out of the camping program. This is for ages 18 – 35. July 18 – 27 | Camp Meeting  Camp Meeting, previously known in NL as “Family Camp,” is our week of speakers, programs, family time, and an opportunity for individuals to gather for a spiritual revival and much-needed fellowship. https://nladventist.ca/woody-acres/camp-meeting-registration-form/

August 3 – 9 | Junior Camp  Junior Camp (10-14): Designed for ages 10-14 years of age; this Camp offers a variety of activities, worship, and group experiences. August 10 – 16 | Youth Camp  Youth Camp (14-17): Designed for ages 14-17, This will be similar to a Junior camp; individuals will increase their skill sets through various activities, and learn to be disciples of Christ. Woody Acres Camp is located on the TCH, 55 km west of St. John’s, 3 km west of Salmonier Line, Route 90, and approximately 1.5 km east of the Avondale Overpass, Route 63. The camp entrance is ONLY ACCESSIBLE FROM THE TCH EAST BOUND LANES. Coming from St. John’s, exit at the Avondale Overpass, Route 63. Turn left on the overpass and left again which will take you to TCH eastbound lane, then travel 1.5 km to the camp entrance on the right.

Each summer Camp Woody Acres organizes a series of camps which are supported by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, however campers from all religions, denominations, and walks of life are welcome to attend. All camps are 6 days long, beginning on Sunday and ending on Saturday.

At Woody Acres, adventure, creativity, and community come together to create unforgettable experiences! Nestled in a beautiful natural setting, our camp offers a wide variety of activities designed for fun, growth, and connection.

Challenge yourself on our stunning six-sided rock wall, or spend time on the water with tubing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, canoeing, swimming, and boating adventures. For those who love sports and the outdoors, we offer archery, team sports, and survival skills training.

Let your creativity shine through our hands-on programs in ceramics, pottery, crafts, drawing, and music. Every camper has the opportunity to explore new talents and build lasting friendships along the way.

We also prioritize spiritual growth and community with daily group worships, engaging group activities, and recreational events that bring everyone together in an uplifting environment.

Our camp is proud to serve three delicious vegetarian meals each day, prepared to nourish and energize every camper. Behind it all is a team of passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers who are committed to creating a safe, fun, and welcoming space for every individual.

PRICING AND SUBSIDIES
 
At Camp Woody Acres, we wholeheartedly believe that camp should be a joyful experience for everyone. We know that financial challenges can sometimes make attending summer camp feel out of reach, and we want to assure you that we’re here to help. When we set our prices, we carefully consider various factors, including the costs of running the camp, the options available in Newfoundland, and our commitment as a non-profit organization. Your ability to participate means the world to us, and we want to support you in any way we can.
 
That’s why this year, we have taken steps to lower our costs to make camp more affordable. We also offer a “pay as you can” option until July 1, to further ease any financial strain.
 
As a Mission Church, we consider ourselves fortunate to subsidize many camp expenses, including staffing, facility upkeep, supplies, insurance, and food, to make camp accessible for as many families as possible.
 
However, we recognize that some families may still find these costs challenging. We genuinely want your children to have the opportunity to attend camp and experience all it has to offer. If finances are a concern, we encourage you to reach out to your local church, talk to family and friends, save up birthday money, or look into local fundraisers or grants that might help make attending camp feasible.
 
We believe that the investment you make in this experience will bring eternal memories and joys to your summer. Hope to see you there! 
 
“Our family had a great week at Camp Woody Acres! A beautiful piece of nature with so many opportunities to learn new things and have fun doing it with friends! My daughters have never before known how to rock climb, do ceramics, archery and zip line and that’s only to name a few. They loved their classes and counsellor and the staff are so friendly and helpful. One of our favourite parts of the day was worship, the songs, bible stories and lessons about Jesus! You would leave every night with the feeling that your heart was full. We feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity for our family and look forward to making it a yearly event!”
